A concrete method for your body in daily life

Whether you are looking to relieve tension, improve your posture or refine your musical practice.

For musicians and performers

Eliminate tension in the shoulders, wrists or back. Regain technical ease, better breathing and a true stage presence without exhausting yourself.

For daily life and screen work

Relieve chronic tension related to the office or poor postural habits. Learn to sit, stand and move with ease.

For stress management and well-being

Develop a better body awareness to stop automatic reactions to stress. Regain more restorative sleep and balanced energy.

How does the Alexander Technique work?

Neither gymnastics nor massage: a gentle and conscious re-education of your way of moving.

Awareness

Identify the habits of unnecessary tension that you accumulate daily without realising it.

Inhibition (The "Stop")

Learn to take a pause before acting to no longer reproduce your automatic contraction patterns.

The Directions

Allow the body (head, neck, spine) to regain its length and natural alignment, without forcing.

FAQ

Here are some frequently asked questions about Alexander Technique sessions

Not at all. Although highly valued by musicians and artists to refine their gesture, the method is aimed at anyone wishing to relieve chronic tension, improve their posture in daily life (desk, walking) or better manage stress.

Come in comfortable clothing (loose trousers, T-shirt) in which you feel at ease to move and lie down. No special equipment is required.

New sensations and a first relief are felt from the discovery session. Historically, F.M. Alexander recommended a cycle of at least 30 sessions to deeply retrain the use of self. That is why we start with a first commitment of 10 sessions : this allows for solid anchors and to observe a concrete change, before we assess together the next steps of your journey.

No. It is neither therapeutic manipulation nor passively received massages. It is an active and educational learning process where you develop your own postural and bodily autonomy.
